James Kurth

Deputy Director For Operations, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

Mr. Kurth is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, including overseeing a budget of $2.5 billion and nearly 9,000 employees working across the nation. In conjunction with the Director, he ensures agency performance and accountability, customer service and consistent application of resource management policies.

  Ms. Schneider is responsible for oversight of field operations including permitting, research, inspections, offshore regulatory programs, oil spill response, training and environmental compliance functions.

• Robyn Thorson
  Regional Director – Pacific Region, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
  Ms. Thorson manages 1.3 million acres on 64 national wildlife refuges, 24 fish hatcheries, 8 fisheries stations, and 11 ecological services field offices/sub-offices.
